The Blurb
Some secrets are best kept hidden…
Anastasia Phoenix has always been the odd girl out, whether moving from city to international city with her scientist parents or being the black belt who speaks four languages.
And most definitely as the orphan whose sister is missing, presumed dead.
She’s the only one who believes Keira is still alive, and when new evidence surfaces, Anastasia sets out to follow the trail—and lands in the middle of a massive conspiracy. Now she isn’t sure who she can trust. At her side is Marcus, the bad boy with a sexy accent who’s as secretive as she is. He may have followed her to Rome to help, but something about him seems too good to be true.
Nothing is as it appears, and when everything she’s ever known is revealed to be a lie, Anastasia has to believe in one impossibility.
She will find her sister.

My Thoughts
The Plot
The start of this book is great. It lures the
reader in, it grips them by the throat and does not let them go until
it’s over. I read it in one sitting, because it was so burning, intense
and compelling that I couldn’t stop! I needed to know!
The Characters
Anastasia
is a great main character. Her voice is nice to read, as well as
realistic, in terms of character traits and temper. She sounds like a
young woman, independent and brave but still in learning. It translated
well on paper.
I loved Marcus. He is a great young man, supportive without being pressing and overwhelming. he forms a nice duo with Anastasia.
The characters were quite diverse as well, which I found was a great touch, much needed.
Do I recommend?
YES!
It was easy to read, greatly paced, very well-written! The style is
great, the characters are loveable and realistic and the plot was very
intriguing, up until the end. Now I need book #2.
If you like mystery, a GREAT first book in a new series, GO FOR IT!
